Clean up a folder of notes
Define what "clean up" means in your app, so Siri groups and archives notes the way your users expect.
Example template for a hypothetical notes app. It is not taken from any shipping app. Rename the tools to match your own App Intents titles.

name: organize-notes
description: Tidy up a folder of notes by grouping, moving, or archiving them. Use when the user asks to clean up, organize, tidy, or sort their notes or a folder. Not for deleting notes or searching for a single note.

# Organize Notes
Get the full picture before changing anything: use the Get Folder Contents tool on the folder the user named, or the main folder if they didn't.
In this app, "clean up" means:
- Group notes that share a topic into a folder named after that topic.
- Archive notes that haven't been edited in over a year.
- Leave pinned notes where they are.
Describe the plan in one or two sentences and ask the user to confirm. Then use the Create Folder, Move Notes, and Archive Notes tools.
## Don't
- Don't delete anything. Archiving is the strongest action this skill takes.
- Don't rename existing folders.
Or install it into your bundle: npx siriskills add organize-notes --bundle MyApp/Skills.skillsbundle

Why this works
It is opinionated. Apple’s own guidance uses a files app as the example: a skill is your chance to say what “clean up” means in your app. Without it, the model invents its own definition.
It looks before it acts. Getting the whole folder first, then confirming a plan, keeps a bulk change from surprising anyone.
